PEI distributes NFI among 258 poor families

PESHAWAR: The Poverty Eradication Initiative (PEI), a non-governmental social welfare organization on Monday distributed non-food relief items among 258 poor and needy families in Aasia Gate community in the city.

 The relief items including sweaters, gloves, woolen shawls and caps distributed in an event arranged by the administration of the Government-run school, sited in Aasia Gate.

 Pakistan Muslim Leagure-Nawaz (PML-N) general secretary Iqbal Zafar Jhagra was chief guest at the event where other local elders and political personalities were also present.

 Iqbal Zafar Jhagra along with Shahid Yusaf, Chief Executive of the PEI and Pakistan’s Honorary Investment Counselor at Vancouver Canada and Tayyab Hussain, PEI Programme Implementation Expert distributed the relief items among the underprivileged families.

 Speaking occasion on the chief guest occasion commended the PEIs eagerness to combat poverty in the country by extending help of the needy people.
