During his visit to Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar to inquire about the health of twin blasts’ victims of All Saints Church, Khan said that US want peace talks with Afghan Taliban and it established an office in Qatar so as to start negotiations with Taliban, likewise there should be an office in Pakistan where Taliban representatives could come and hold talks with government for lasting peace in the country.
He added that ceasefire was necessary for negotiations with Taliban, further said that then the government would be able to judge either Taliban wanted peace talks or not.
He said that if Taliban attacked after ceasefire it would be crystal clear that they were not ready for negotiations. He said that in the past nine years Pakistani government keep continue military operation against militants but of no result.
“In these nine years we have lost almost 50,000 people in war on terror. It is the 4th All Parties Conference (APC) in which it has been decided that government should talk to Taliban”, he observed.

He mentioned that when government was negotiating with Naik Muhammd Wazir, a militant leader in Waziristan, at that time there was only one group of Taliban but now the situation has been changed and several groups are involved in militancy in Pakistan.
So, the government should start peace talks with Taliban which is a combined decision of all political parties too, PTI Chairman reminded. He appreciated services rendered by the doctors of Lady Reading Hospital, adding that despite pressure from those who politicized the church blasts they (doctors) showed courage and provided all necessary facilities to the victims.
He added that it is the responsibility of the leadership to rush to the bomb blast spots and hospitals to ask about injurers and victims, further said that he reached to the LRH hospital on the day of accident and that was the false statement of media that PTI leadership was not present and there was no facilities for blasts’ victims.
He said that it was a shameful act for those politicians who politicized such incidents for gaining political goals. He mentioned that 210 attacks had taken place in the province during the previous government. He mentioned that PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunhwa government would help each victim.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister said that affected families would be given financial compensation. He said that PTI members and workers have donated 400 blood bags.
