TTP re-appoints Sheikh Maqbool as spokesperson

PESHAWAR: Tehrik-e-Taliban (TTP) has re-appointed Sheikh Maqbool Orakzai as its new spokesman while Ihsanullah Ihasan has been removed from the post because of his statements against Afghan Taliban, sources said on Tuesday.Ihsanullah
TTP sources said that decision had been taken by the TTP elders during a meeting held on June 25, and removed Ihsanullah Ihsan, spokesman of TTP, from his post and nominated TTP former spokesman and Commander, Sheikh Maqbool, as new spokesperson of TTP.
Sources added that Ihsanullah had given statements against Afghan Taliban that they were ready to attack on TTP, further said that he (Ihsanullah) had also given a statement that Afghan Taliban were providing weapons to local community in Lakaro area of Mohmand Agency near Pak-Afghan border to stand against TTP.
Sources said that it had also been mentioned by Ihsanullah in his statements that Afghan Taliban were producing fighter groups against TTP in Mohmand Agency and in near future they would attack on TTP leadership. Because of such statements, rift between TTP and Afghan Taliban was created, sources said.
It is worth mentioning that 40-year old Sheikh Maqbool is hailing from Barlas area of Orakzai Agency. He has played key role in the development and strengthening of TTP in Orakzai agency. He also remained commander of TTP in Orakzai Agency.
